Pay attention to the correct planting depth – usually twice the size of the bulb – and water moderately to avoid rotting. After flowering, it is advisable to follow the advice of Dutch bulb growers: Wait until the above-ground part has dried out before digging up the bulbs and storing them in a dark place.
