Fitness cure for the air conditioning system - How to maintain your air conditioning system

Air conditioning is a great invention. And not just in the hot summer months. They also ensure a pleasant living climate in winter thanks to their heating or dehumidification function. What many homeowners don't know: Air conditioning systems need to be cleaned and maintained regularly. And this is usually easier than it might sound.

Cleaning the air filter

One of the most important „maintenance tasks“ is the regular cleaning of the air filter. In particular, the air filter must be removed to remove germs and bacteria that accumulate there over time. It is usually located directly behind the ventilation grille and can be easily removed. Simply refer to the operating instructions. Once removed, you can clean the filter with warm soapy water and disinfectant over the sink. Once it is dry after washing, it can be reinserted. Important: When heating with the air conditioning system, the air filter is particularly stressed and should therefore be replaced after the winter. Replacement filters are available for most devices at any DIY store.

Cleaning the condenser

In addition to the airfilter, the condensator of the air conditioning unit and the drainhose for the condenwasser require regular cleaning and disinfection. The condensator is a heatmethawingoven in which the heatedoilwithtel releases the heatme to the ambientair. The heat and moisture present there is suitable for the removal and dispersion of germs. Baumärkte und „Ferreterias“ verkaufen spezielle Schaumsprays, mit denen Bakterien, Mikroorganismen und Schimmelsporen eliminates. Condensator and ventilationsystem are thus desinficated. Where to find the condensator and the drainhose can also be found in the operatinganleitung.
