Specialist journalistic care, traceable sources and the clear separation of editorial and commercial content define our work.

Our editorial mission
The island magazine Bauen & Wohnen Mallorca provides information on property, architecture, planning, construction, renovation, modernisation, building technology, energy, gardens, interiors as well as legal and financial issues relating to home ownership on Mallorca. Specialist topics are presented in an understandable way without abandoning the necessary distinction between general information, expert assessment and individual advice.
Specialist journalistic care
Technical, construction-law, tax and economic information is checked with the level of care required by the subject matter and the publication format. Priority is given to official regulations, municipal requirements, specialist bodies, professional associations, technical standards and traceable manufacturer or company information. Publication does not replace individual legal, tax, planning or specialist advice. Project-related decisions should be coordinated with the appropriately qualified professionals responsible in each case.
Editorial independence
Topics, presentation, weighting and publication are decided by the editorial team according to specialist journalistic criteria. Advertisements, partnerships, company profiles or other business relationships do not create any entitlement to editorial coverage, any specific evaluation or the omission of critical information.
Separation of editorial and commercial content
Editorial content is clearly separated from advertisements, advertorials, company profiles, product presentations and other paid publications. Commercial content is labelled clearly. Labelling must not be obscured either by design or by placement. Obviously misleading, unsubstantiated or unlawful statements are not adopted.
Products, companies and specialist statements
The presentation of a product, company or project does not constitute a general recommendation or guarantee of suitability, quality or legal admissibility in an individual case. Technical data and performance descriptions may be based on information from manufacturers, providers or project participants and are classified accordingly. Comparative or evaluative statements require a comprehensible basis.
Corrections and updates
Incorrect or materially misleading factual statements are corrected promptly after they become known and are reviewed. Articles may be updated if technical standards, funding programmes, prices, legal situations or administrative procedures change. In the event of material changes, an update date or editorial note may be added. Information about possible errors, required updates or other editorial concerns may be sent to the editorial team named in the legal notice or on the contact page.
Personal, copyright and project rights
Personal rights, copyrights, image rights as well as legitimate confidentiality and protection interests of owners, clients, planners and companies are taken into account. Project images and plans are used only within the scope of the available rights of use. Captions and project descriptions must not create an incorrect impression regarding planning, execution or authorship.
Images, renderings and visualisations
Photographs, renderings, floor plans, illustrations and visualisations are used according to their function. Planning stages, example visualisations and AI-generated or materially manipulated depictions are labelled where otherwise they could create the impression of an already realised or documentary depiction of the execution.
Use of AI-supported tools
AI-generated or AI-edited editorial content is subject to human review and editorial control before publication. The decision to publish, as well as the substantive and editorial responsibility, remains with Mediagroup Balear S.L. Unreviewed AI-generated or AI-edited editorial content is not published automatically. Where statutory transparency or labelling obligations apply to specific content, these will be fulfilled in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
Scope and responsibility
These principles apply to the print and online editorial offerings of the island magazine Bauen & Wohnen Mallorca. The publisher and company with editorial responsibility is Mediagroup Balear S.L. The legally required provider and responsibility details can be found in the legal notice.
